Overview

A driveway takes more abuse than any other slab on your property: vehicle loads, road salt, and freeze-thaw cycles every winter. We build driveways that are sized, reinforced and drained for those conditions instead of pouring thin concrete over loose ground.

We handle both new driveway installation and tear-out and replacement of failing concrete or asphalt, including apron work where the driveway meets the street.

Problems We Solve

  • Cracking caused by an under-compacted or frost-susceptible base
  • Sections that have settled and now hold water or ice
  • Surface scaling from salt exposure and poor finishing
  • Water draining toward the garage instead of away from it

How We Build It

  1. 01

    On-site review

We walk the driveway with you, check grades and drainage, and talk through options and thickness.

  2. 02

    Removal and haul-off

Existing concrete or asphalt is broken out and removed from the property.

  3. 03

    Base preparation

Sub-grade is graded and compacted, then stone base is added and compacted to depth.

  4. 04

    Forming and reinforcement

Forms are set to drainage grades, with reinforcement placed for the loads the slab will carry.

  5. 05

    Pour, finish and joints

Concrete is placed, finished for traction, and control joints are cut to guide where the slab moves.

  6. 06

    Cure and clean-up

We review cure time and salt guidance with you and leave the site clean.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long before I can drive on a new concrete driveway?
Cure times depend on the mix and weather. We give you a specific date for foot traffic and for vehicles before we pour, and we follow up so you are not guessing.
Can you replace just one section?
Sometimes. If the failure is isolated and the base is sound, a partial replacement can make sense. If the base is the problem, replacing a section only moves the crack. We will tell you which one you are dealing with.
Do you remove the old driveway?
Yes. Demolition, haul-off and disposal are included in the estimate for replacement work.
Should I use salt on new concrete?
Avoid de-icing salts the first winter. We go over winter care with every driveway customer.
